Bike Phreak help needed...
What:
I'd like to hold an intergenerational "Pimp your Bike for the Parade" workshop
This would be a bicycle decoration workshop for those who want to ride their bikes in the parade.
I would also encourage folks to ride their bikes to Diversion.
WHERE:
Portland, Oregon's Decomp Party "Diversion"
ON AIR * 1300 N. River Street (under the Fremont Bridge)
$15 tickets at: www.brownpapertickets.com/event/20669
WHEN:
Oct. 20th, 3pm-11pm All ages!
TIME:
This would probably take place 3:00-5:00 pm
prior to the parade
HELP NEEDED:
Anyone who has decorative stuff to donate (crepe paper, posterboard, tape, zipties, fur, stuffies) or would be interested in helping with this 1-2 hour hands-on workshop please pm me.
Help with a Bicycle parking area is something else that may be needed

Mon, October 8, 2007 - 11:02 AMI've concluded that my proposed "Pimp Your Bike for the Parade" workshop will not work at Diversion for many reasons, including the logistics and timing at this event make it difficult, and the lousy cold/wet weather we have been having.
Perhaps if the opportunity arises, I will try again to volunteer hold a "Pimp Your Bike for the Parade" workshop at some other event, perhaps held pre-burn. In the summer next year might be a better time. -

Too many cops busy playin' diaster games that day... Go see the Portland Burners Tribe if you want the bloody details.
