I am freshly back from BM, and had a lot of requests to help build art cars. If anyone is in the LA area, and needs help constructing, fabricating, or designing art cars, I am putting myself up for hire for the next 50 weeks. I charge per hour, or on trade, and I can do chasis engineering, fabrication, welding, mechanical work, design, alternative fuel design and counseling and also paint and body work. I also am a good recource for finding cars, and inspecting them for projects so you don't end up with something that doesn't run. awesome offer Robin - do you do both tig and mig welding?
my reco would be to focus on art bicycles instead of art cars - we really don't need any more art cars out there, IMHO. plus, your services for building an art bike/pedal vehicle might be more successfull because of the lower build cost and more customers being able to afford your services.
and you would be helping out the environment by not enabling more art cars on the playa.
i saw some pretty fugly art cars this year! -
